Officer Barbara D’Ancona (a member of the Quogue Police Dept and was Rich Kapell’s partner) and Officer Gerald Sheridan of the Suffolk County Police Dept accepted the grant for the Guardians of our Dependents (the Good foundation). They help support the children and families of deceased police officers.
Courtney Henley received a scholarship for Columbia University in NY. Courtney’s father, Mike Henley, has Alzheimer’s and Karen and the family invest their time caring for him. We wish Courtney and her family success.

With our donation we grant the wish for Oscar, a special 7 year old from Farmingville, NY
Scholarship recipient, Krista Jados is an active member of the U.S. Army Reserve since 2002 and member of Unit 411 Engineer Brigade Army Reserves + Stony Brook University Student Mechanical Engineering Dept. Part Time coordinator of SBU Veterans Affairs Office in Wallkill, NY.
She spent 15 on months active duty in Iraq as a gunner in a convoy team. Deployed again in Aug 2010 to Afghanistan. Krista hopes to work with the Dept of Defense after graduation. Thank you Krista!
LIRTC presents and educational grant to William Turner Jr.
William will be attending the Kumon school.
Ismael Rodriguez, coordinator of Stony Brook Educational Veterans Affairs Office presented an educational scholarship to a wounded warrior and purple heart recipient, James P. O’Leary. James is an English Major at Stony Brook University.
