Dan Losquadro spoke about Heidi’s service to the community through her work with the Riverhead Town Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He presented LIRTC’s donation to the Heidi Behr Memorial Scholarship Fund to her parents, Ruth and John, and her son Jared.

October 2008 – 3 Scholarship Grants
October 19, 2008: The Long Island Recreational Trails Conservancy is proud to announce its first donation to three first responders and military personnel to aid them in furthering their college education. Southampton council member Christopher Nuzzi was on hand to present the award, flanked by LIRTC founders Robert Ott and Thomas Riker.
The LIRTC is a non for profit corporation that promotes family fun, environmental awareness and ATV safety through organized club meetings that raise funds and public awareness to support these efforts. LIRTC congratulates Luke Hardcastle, Robert Scribner Jr, and Andrew Van Dercreek on their scholarship grants.
